Its never too early (or late) to begin preparing for your next steps. In this workshop series, we will offer key insights into how to begin to prepare for the next stage of your career. The content is specifically designed for students, postdoctoral researchers, and early industry professionals. The discussion will focus on both academic and industrial career paths, with the goal of providing you new insights and skills needed for success.
We will split the workshop into three sessions. The first two sessions will be led by Pallavi Eswara. In the first session, we will discuss methods for building your brand and professional activity. In this interactive session, students and postdocs will learn more about how to lay the foundation of how their experience will be perceived in the job market. The second session will focus on career exploration and preparation techniques through both presentation and guided discussion. The third session, led by Jason Weigold, will focus on the career exploration in industry process. Finally, the workshop will end with a question-and-answer panel. The panelists will discuss their experience in the hiring process and provide key insights related to successes they’ve experienced. The panel is designed to be interactive, with significant time allotted for audience questions. In summary, this workshop will provide valuable insight that will amplify your impact on the field of sensors for years to come.
